C'est le Québec qui est né dans mon pays!
It was through the contact with the Maoris of New Zealand that Emanuelle Dufour realized the extent of her ignorance towards the First People of Quebec. Upon her return, Dufour embarked on a long journey learning and initiate important dialogues concerning the realities of indigenous people. What can we learn from the erasure of residential schools in our history textbooks and clichés about "Indians'' in popular media? How did Indigenous people experience the Oka crisis? Told from her own experiences, Indigenous people and that of non-indigenous people, the polyphonic work explores the legacy of our colonial unconscious and brings out stories that have remained in the shadows for too long.
