Charlevoix 1970 Gabor Szilasi
Few Quebecers say the city's name, Charlevoix, without evoquing culture and imagery of mountainous landscapes, whereby this region is now regularly submerged by visitors during tourist season. On his end, Gabor, the photographer was initially interested in the lighting of Charlevoix, the formation of its mountains, the rustic nature of the town, by the sea, by the forest, and how everything is so insulated. But above all this, it was the people of the town that fascinated him. Gabor, the documentary photographer was never able to ingore the mythical character of this town.
